NutriBiotic Nasal Spray 1-oz
Sinusitis and Grapefruit Extract At least 37 million residents of the USA have chronic sinusitis. Sinusitis is an acute or chronic inflammation of the nasal sinuses-the hollow cavities found within the cheek bones and near the eyes. The inflammation can be triggered by inadequate draining due to allergies, infections or structural problems of the nose such as narrow drainage passages or a deviated septum.
But misunderstandings about the most frequent cause of inflammation have led to millions of failed treatments Do You Have Sinusitis?
There is an important difference between a sinus infection and sinusitis. A sinus infection can be caused by a germ(cold or flu as examples) and lasts usually for a few days up to a few weeks.
Sinusitis is an inflammation of the membrane lining of the sinus, especially one or more of the paranasal sinuses. If three or more of the following symptoms persist for more than ten days(and sinusitis can go on for week after terrible week), it is likely that you have this medical condition: facial pain, headache, thickened yellow mucous, low fever, congestion or stuffy nose, dizziness, pain in the upper teeth, and bad breath. How do you score?
Sinusitis is now linked to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
For many years, the standard treatments for sinusitis have included prescription antibiotics, steroids, anti-inflammatories, irrigation, and surgery. However, in 1999 the Mayo Clinic identified two strains of fungi as being the culprit in 96% of the cases of chronic sinusitis that they investigated. That means that drugs(you already knew this, didn't you...) don't provide a solution beyond the placebo effect. And surgery to remove scar tissue will only help for a time.
Grapefruit Seed Extract(GSE) has helped thousands. Here is a recent testamonial about a typical case that gratefully ended with the discovery of GSE and, finally, relief.
"Dear Doctor M.,
You may remember me as a long time patient of yours for chronic sinusitis. You performed several surgeries on me, all with some positive effect, but none of them totally eliminating the problem. I have continued with a chronic nasal inflammation problem since moving to Colorado four years ago and have continued my search for a cure. I am writing to let you know that I have perhaps found something of importance that may be of use to some of your other patients who suffer from chronic sinus problems.
Recently, I found an article on the internet that intrigued me. It summarized the results of a study by the Mayo Clinic that strongly implicates fungus as the source of over 90% of chronic sinus problems. And, most important to me, it indicated that chronic sinus problems were typically the result of chronic inflammation that is caused by the body's immune response to the fungus, not to the fungus itself. Therefore, treating the inflammation with nasal steroids, for example, would be of no benefit since the body would continue to respond to the fungus and cause inflammation. This sounded like me, to a T, since none of the anti-inflammatory drugs has ever worked, and in fact I have gotten worse on them.
I have enclosed the article I read on the internet, which you have perhaps already seen. I continued to look for a possible remedy, since in the article it mentions that pharmaceutical companies are perhaps two years away from medications to treat the problem. In my search I found that grapefruit seed extract is a powerful antifungal, and is already packaged and sold to address this particular problem. Unfortunately, I and probably many other chronic sufferers knew nothing about it.
About 1 1/2 months ago I purchased some grapefruit seed extract. I got the liquid that is combined with water and ingested and a nasal spray. Within one week of using these supplements I noticed a significant difference in my chronic problem. First, the typical thick mucous in my nose, that usually had a light yellow color, had thinned considerably, and my stuffiness had decreased significantly. In addition, my ongoing slight headache had disappeared. After about another week, I noticed that burning inside my nose was just about gone, and my blurry eyes were more clear than I can remember since mid-summer. I have continued to use the extracts, and in fact prepared a solution this morning to use as a nasal irrigation. Typically I have irrigated my nose 3-4 times a week, especially in the winter months. However, I realized a couple of days ago that I had not irrigated for at least two weeks, and had not felt the need to do so. I did this morning only to see how my prepared solution would feel and work. It was wonderful.
The products I'm using come from Nutribiotic, Lakeport, CA, and their web site is www.nutriteam.com. (Ed. note: www.nutribiotic.com is actually the correct website for Nutribiotic, the manufacturer.) I have no connection with them, whatsoever. I am merely passing this information along to you because it has helped me so much, and I'm sure there are many other people who are suffering, not knowing anything about this possible solution.
I would be glad to give you more information if you desire. I hope you find this useful.
